Photek is one of electronic music's true architects. A founding force behind drum & bass and jungle, the UK producer (born Rupert Parkes) reshaped the genre with the surgical precision of his 1997 debut Modus Operandi — a record still regarded as a blueprint. But Photek has never belonged to a single genre. His remix work earned three consecutive Grammy nominations for Best Remixed Recording — for Daft Punk's "End of Line" from Tron: Legacy (2012), Moby's "Lie Down in Darkness" (2013), and "One Love/People Get Ready" (2014) — and his music has scored Hollywood film and television, placing him among the most versatile artists electronic music has produced.
